Our Commitment
At Morro do Ipê, we comply with strict environmental regulations and implement actions aimed at protecting the environment and surrounding communities. Our Environmental Control Plan oversees more than 35 programs, covering everything from water and wildlife monitoring to dust dispersion and noise control.
In 2021, we launched the SER Program (Sustainability, Balance, and Respect), which strengthens our commitment to sustainable development and Conscious Capitalism.

Climate Change
At Morro do Ipê, concern for climate change is central to our strategy. The company’s Climate Change Policy sets out the principles and guidelines for managing climate change within the organization, aiming for an energy transition toward a low-carbon economy. We follow a structured emissions control plan, adopting measures to reduce and manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our operations. Practices implemented include:
Optimization of energy consumption and use of renewable sources:
We reduce electricity consumption and prioritize renewable alternatives whenever possible, aligning operations with sustainability principles.
Air Emissions Management:
We monitor and control GHG emissions through technologies and processes that minimize environmental impact.
Rehabilitation of Degraded Areas:
By planting seedlings from Ipê’s own nursery, we aim to restore local biodiversity and contribute to carbon capture.
